For the third year in a row Bay View Academy student, Erica Johnson, from Cranston, has won the 600m race at the Rhode Island State Indoor Track & Field Championship held on Saturday, Feb. 18. She is the first female athlete in the 20 year history of the sport to win the event for three consecutive years.

The 4 x 800m team comprised of Tatianna Medina (East Providence), Kayla Saucier (Coventry), Emma D'Arpino (Johnston) and Erica Johnson (Cranston) finished fourth in the State and set a Bay View Academy record time of 10:06.
