Orlo Elementary PTA is 'Forever Grateful' to Project Volunteers
The transformation of Orlo Avenue Elementary began on Saturday, April 14, 2012. The volunteers from East Side Construction broke ground and dug up the asphalt in the small play area on the corner of Orlo and Blanche Avenues. The crew from East Side Construction; Chris Voll, Lenny Estrella, Dave Case and Hank Vieira; gave up their paying job for a day to help out the local kids. For more information visit their website at www.eastsideconstruction.com.
On Sunday, April 15, 2012 over 50 volunteers showed up to build the play structure and lay down 90 yards of mulch into the playground area. In addition, two basketball hoops were installed in the back of the school. When the children return from spring break they will have a lot to smile about.
The Orlo Avenue PTA would like to sincerely thank all of the wonderful volunteers that helped make the dream of a playground at Orlo Avenue Elementary a reality.
We had the support of East Side Construction a local
business donating their time and equipment. Thanks again to Chris Voll, Lenny Estrella, Dave Case and Hank Vieirra for all of your hard work.
