- The St. Francis Xavier Food Pantry, 81 North Carpenter St., is open Monday, Oct. 22, from 9:30 to 11:20 am and again at 6 to 7:30 pm; bring a valid government ID.
- Newman Congregational Church, 100 Newman Ave., Rumford, offers an “East Providence candidates’ night” on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 7 pm. City council and legislative candidates from Districts 63 and 65 will be there.
- Providence Country Day School offers an Open House on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 10 am at its 660 Waterman Ave. campus in East Providence.
- Thee RI Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) chapters will host their annual “Almost Free Rabies Clinic” on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 10 am to 2 pm at the RISPCA auditorium, 186 Amaral St., Riverside.
