Here are five things you should know about for this week in East Providence.
- The East Providence School Committee meets for its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers in City Hall.
- A farmers’ market runs at 20 Newman Ave. in Rumford on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 3 to 6 pm.
- Paul Masse Chevrolet at 111 Taunton Ave. hosts a Women’s Car Care Seminar on Wednesday, Oct. 10, starting at 5:45 pm; men can attend, too.
- The East Providence Parent Advisory Committee for Special Education hosts a session on Wednesday, Oct. 10 where you can “Meet the Candidates” running for the East Providence School Committee. It runs from 6 to 8 pm at the Riverside Branch Library, 475 Bullocks Point Ave.
- The second annual Watchemoket Square Day will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, starting at 9 am with a parade from City Hall followed by a classic car show, live music, activities for kids, a walking history tour given by the East Providence Historical Society, and special offers and dining throughout the day at square restaurants.
