5 Things to Know About This Weekend

Here are five things you should know about this weekend starting tonight in and around East Providence:
- Weather for the first March weekend looks pretty good after some possible rain and snow mix this morning. Sun and clouds will share the skies Saturday and Sunday and temperatures will get into the low to mid 40s.
- The East Providence recreation department hosts a teen (13-17) pickup basketball night each Friday at 7 pm at the recreation center, 100 Bullocks Point Ave. Call 433-6360 to register.
- Your last chance to sign up for the 2013 East Providence Central Little League season will be at tryouts Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm at Martin Middle School, 111 Brown St. Call League President Jason Perry at 401-640-2215 for more information.
- The East Bay Community Action Program, 100 Bullocks Point Ave., offers free tax assistance on Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm.
- Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., offers a story time for kids ages 2-6 every Saturday at 10 am. No need to preregister; just walk in.
