5 Things to Know About This Weekend

Rainy weather; Kid's Night Out; middle school 'doughraiser'; story time; Stories on the Spectrum.

 

Here are five things you should know about this weekend in East Providence, starting today:

  1. The weather forecast for this weekend looks a bit rainy with a 50 percent chance of showers on Friday afternoon and rain lingering into Saturday morning, but temperatures getting up into the high 40s and mid 50s by Sunday, when it will be partly sunny for the Patriots’ home game with the Texans.
  2. The East Providence Recreation Center, 100 Bullock's Point Ave., hosts another Kid's Friday Night Out from 6 to 9 pm. $10 per child.
  3. The East Providence Middle School Boosters Club holds a "doughraiser" at the Uno restaurant in Providence Place all-day Sunday, Jan. 13. Uno will donate 20 percent of your tab to the boosters club.
  4. The Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., hosts a story time on Saturday at 10 am for kids ages 2-6.
  5. "Stories on the Spectrum" offers stories and songs for children who have developmental disorders on or off the autistic spectrum on Saturday at 11 am at Weaver Library.
