Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:

1. Clouds in the morning will give way to mostely sunny skies in the afternoon with temperatures getting up into the low to mid 40s.
2. The Children's Workshop, 411 Narragansett Park Drive in Rumford, and 833 Willett Ave. in Riverside, offer a Parents' Night Out for Valentine's Day. Have a romantic dinner without worrying about your children.
3. Every Thursday after school is “Teen Thursday” at Weaver Library; there are laptops, music, Wii, games, and crafts from 3 to 5 pm.
