Bearded Bandit Hits Up Pawtucket Credit Union

The suspect fled on foot from the bank on Tuesday afternoon.

 

The 'Bearded Bandit' has struck again. 

On Tuesday afternoon, a man fitting the description of the area's serial robber stole an undisclosed amount of money from the Pawtucket Credit Union on Newport Avenue. A weapon was not shown during the hold-up.

He then fled on foot, according to Captain Richard Frazier. No injuries were reported.

The infamous thief has conducted bank robberies that occurred Feb. 23 in Seekonk, Mass., April 16 in Cranston, R.I., May 7 in Warwick, R.I., June 27 in North Providence, R.I., July 26 in Barrington, and Aug. 25 in Pawtucket.

The case is still under investigation. The public is urged to contact police at the Commonwealth Fusion Center at (978) 451-3700 with any information about the suspect or the robberies.
