Breezy Riel of Riverside turned 9 years old a few weeks ago. Instead of birthday gifts, she asked for donations to the Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Childrens Hospital.

"When Breezy was 4, she had a disease called ITP and had to go the the clinic every Monday," said her mother, Pam. "She remembered how she enjoyed the donations."

"Breezy asked all her friends to not buy her gifts," said her mother. "Instead, she asked them to bring markers, crayons, coloring books and other supplies to donate to the waiting room."

Breezy had a great birthday party at Le Petite chef in Warwick, said her mother

"The girls made cinnamon buns and decorated chef hats and aprons," Pam Riel said. "Part of the cost of the party is donated to buy a family a goat in Haiti."
