Country Songwriter Started in Riverside
Joe Doyle grew up as one of seven children in Riverside; the songwriter has written songs for Country stars such as Reba McEntire, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw and Alabama.
“In Pictures,” the #1 single by the renowned recording group, Alabama, has a Riverside connection. So do many other Country hits.
Country songwriter Joe Doyle, 47, who grew up in Riverside, wrote "In Pictures" and other well-known covers, according to his website.
Doyle has written songs for country stars such as Reba McEntire, Rhett Atkins, Kenny Rogers, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Blaine Larsen ,Joe Diffie, Dan Seals, Daryle Singletary, Linda Davis, Martina McBride, and Deryl Dodd.
Doyle didn’t start out wanting to be a Country songwriter. He wanted to be a drummer. But his years at Berklee College of Music in Boston convinced him to give up drumming for writing music. That’s where he learned to play the guitar and the piano.
