An investigation into the woman’s allegations indicates that Vargas sent more than 60 unwanted and sexually explicit messages to the woman over two days from his cell phone, according to the arrest report, even after she told him to leave her alone.

Vargas was taken to the police station to be charged. When he was told he would be taken to the Adult Correctional Insitutions (ACI), police said, he became unruly and emotionally agitated and banged his head against the cage holding him in the police station.
