East Providence Man Charged With Stealing Plow

The tool was taken from Bulgarmarsh Road in Tiverton.

Joseph Morris, 37, of 35 Jenks St. in East Providence, was charged by Tiverton police at 5:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, with receiving stolen goods. Lt. Patrick Jones said the case is a  investigation that began in September with the theft of a snow plow that was alleged to be sold at South Shore Scrap at 413 Bulgarmarsh Road in Tiverton.

Jones said the victim, from Warren, contacted Tiverton Det. Daniel Martin and told him his stolen snow plow might be at the Tiverton scrap yard. Martin was able to recover the snow plow. Working with the Warren police, they were able to identify the person who brought the snow plow to Tiverton, Morris, and get information that allegedly took the snow plow from Warren.
