East Providence Officer Located 'Bearded Bandit' Vehicle
The recently arrested "Bearded Bandit' stole a significant amount of money from banks across the area during an eight-month spree.
Police agencies from across the region are investigating the finer details of the Bearded Bandit's eight-month bank robbery spree. Justin Worley was identified as a suspect responsible for the heists and taken into custody on Wednesday.
Sgt. Diogo Mello, a detective in the East Providence Police Department, was credited with pinpointing one of the vehicles connected to the robberies that was parked at Motel 6 in Seekonk, MA, according to reports from East Bay Newspapers.
Police officials say Worley, an 11-year U.S. Army veteran who served in Iraq, stole a significant amount of money. Worley's bail is set at $300,000; he is due in Taunton District Court on Oct. 18.

Many crimes of violence that appear bizarre are as a result of hardened serious drug abuse.
