  • Friday Night: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog. Low around 57. South wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible

5K Road Race: The East Providence Firefighters’ seventh annual Freaky 5k Road Race is set for Sunday morning, October 21st, at 10 a.m. on and around the streets of the department’s Station No. 3 in the Rumford section of the city. Entry fee is $22 the day of the race. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Sunday. With its association to Halloween, tasteful costumes of all kinds can be worn by participants. For more information or to pre-register visit the race website at www.epfdfreaky5k.com.
