Man Breaks Into House Through A/C
Providence man faces several charges after he broke into his ex-girlfrien's East Providence home through the window that holds the air-conditioner.
An East Providence woman got quite a surprise last Sunday evening, Oct. 28, when she spotted her former boyfriend crawling through a window in her home that holds the air conditioner.
The 7:15 pm break-in led to several charges for the Providence man by East Providence police, including violating a restraining order and domestic breaking and entering.
The woman spotted Jairo A. Hernandez, 25, of Webster Avenue, as he was crawling through the opening. She called the police right away.
East Providence patrol officers responded to the Evergreen Street property, which the woman left after spotting the man. They found Hernandez hiding in a bathroom when they searched the apartment.
The police arrest report indicates that he refused to come out of the bathroom to face the police officers. So they were forced to kick in the door.
Hernandez was handcuffed and taken to the police station, where he was charged and given a date to return to District Court.
