A Utah man has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison following his arrest last year in one of the largest drug busts in Rhode Island history. 

East Providence police were involved in the investigation of the cocaine distribution ring.

A federal judge sentenced Adilson A. Reyes, 31, to 135 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release upon completion of his prison term.

In April 2011, Reyes pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 5 kilograms of cocaine. 

Three months prior to his guilty plea, Reyes and his two accomplices (Armando Saucedo, 33, and Andrew Rios, 42, both of California) were arrested at a warehouse in North Kingstown off Dry Bridge Road where they were basing their drug trafficking operations. During the bust, law enforcement officials seized 65 kilograms of cocaine and more than $1.2 million in cash.

Earlier this month, Saucedo was sentenced to 156 months in prison. Rios is slated for sentencing in January 2013.
