Marie G. Arruda, more fondly known as Jenny, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18 surrounded by her daughters, grandchildren and sons-in-law. She was 89 years old. 

She was the wife of the late Edward R. Arruda. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Pasquale) D'Andrea. According to her family, she was always ready to help, console, laugh, encourage and pick up your spirits.

She leaves four daughters, Jacqueline Frias of North Kingstown, Jennifer Guertin of Warwick, Shelley Moreau of Lincoln and Terry Farley of Warwick; three sons, Craig Arruda of Cape Coral, Florida, Jeffrey Arruda of Warrenton, Virginia and Scott Arruda of Cumberland; four sisters, Ann Gomes, Dolores Letourneau, Joann Rafus and Sandra D'Andrea; one brother, Norman D'Andrea, seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Edward R. Arruda and sister of the late Frank and Joseph D'Andrea.

Her funeral and visitation will be held on Wednesday at 8 a.m from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
