Riverside resident Lisa Lunt runs a jewelry making business called Ahhtistic Expressions. She works with fresh water pearls, natural stones, Swarovski crystals, mother-of-pearl, shell and wooden beads.

"I look for bead stores wherever I travel and try to find something unique to the area," she writes in an e-mail.

"I’ve always enjoyed making things with my hands. Art has also been a wonderful therapeutic tool in my work with children and families. It’s a great creative activity with my son, who apparently inherited the creative gene, and enjoys making jewelry also!" she writes. "One art project with beads became a love for making jewelry for me. I became fascinated with the beads and design process. I began selling a few pieces to friends and colleagues. I have consigned at Slater Mill gift shop in Pawtucket, The Homestead Group (formerly known as the ARC of Northern RI) Gift Shop. This past December I had a table up with my jewelry for a couple of weeks in December at Providence Coffee Roasters."

Currently, Lunt is donating 100 percent of the sale price of her Lego line of earrings, charms & zipper pulls, all made from Lego tires, to Al’s Wheels, a local charity established to raise funds for a wheelchair conversion van for a 15-year-old East Providence youth with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

She'll be selling her jewelry on Saturday and Sunday at the Willett Avenue coffee house before Valentine's Day.
