Price of Stamps Up One Cent
It will now cost you 46 cents to mail a 1-ounce letter; you can still use 'Forever' stamps.
The cost to mail a letter went up one cent yesterday, Jan. 27, according to the U.S. Postal Service. Make sure your mail goes out today with the correct amount of postage.
Stamp prices went from 45 cents to 46 cents for a 1-ounce letter. The cost for letters weighing more than one ounce stayed the same -- 20 cents for each additional ounce, an announcement from the postal service says.
Postcard stamps also saw a one-cent increase, from 32 cents to 33 cents. Letters under one ounce mailed anywhere internationally will cost $1.10, according to the postal service.
You can still use Forever stamps, which are usable even with the change.
