Rate Severity of Blizzard of 2013

National Weather Service indicates that about 17 inches of snow was dumped on the town.

So, the Blizzard of '13 dumped about 18 inches of snow on East Providence, according to the National Weather Service.

There have been biggers snowfalls and smaller snowfalls in the city. But maybe not a snowfall with the high winds -- 50 to 60 mph gusts -- and lightning and heaviness of the snow of the Blizzard of 2013.

And maybe not a snowstorm that wiped out power to about 78 percent of the city, according to National Grid.

How would you rate the severity of this storm? Do you remember a blizzard that knocked out power to that many homes? How did you cope with the blizzard?
