RIDOT to Cut Two Ribbons in E.P.
The state transportation department will officially christen two projects in East Providence on Friday, including one that finished a year ahead of schedule.
Two ribbon-cutting ceremonies have been scheduled by the RI Department of Transportation in East Providence on Friday, Nov. 30.
The newly renovated and expanded section of Waterfront Drive along the Seekonk River will be officially opened at 11:30 am. Officials will gather at the foot of Warren Avenue for the ceremony, according to RIDOT.
Then at 2 pm, RIDOT and city officials will gather at Freedom Green Park on North Broadway at the intersection with Centre Street and Roger Williams Avenue. They will cut a ribbon to officially open the 10-Mile River Bridges Project.
The bridges reopened on Nov. 16 about a year ahead of schedule. See the Patch story.

Be thankful these projects were completed. For the rest of the state, this agency has a terrible record of maintaining its infrastructure. They only know how to rebuild it, not maintain it.
