Samuel Ohanian, 82

Samuel Ohanian of East Providence passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012. He was 82.
He was the husband and soul mate of Frances "Dolly" (Cicerelli) Ohanian for 63 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Sukias and Sema (Demujian) Ohanian.
He was the father of Cathleen A. Paniccia and her husband, Joseph, and James R. Ohanian and his wife, Kimberly, all of Cranston. He was the grandfather of Lindsey Cathleen Beaulieu and her husband, Wesley, and Hannah Rose Ohanian.
He is also survived by his sister, Florence Cicerelli, and his brother Arthur Ohanian. He was the brother of the late Walter, Barsam and Elizabeth Ohanian.
He worked in the automotive and insurance industry his entire career. He was the proud patriarch of his family business, the Auto Factory, where he worked with his son, James, for the past 40 years.
He also was a licensed insurance adjuster with more than 50 years of experience. His passion was spending time with his family.
He was known for his generous spirit, welcoming smile and willingness to help anyone who needed a hand. He was easy to befriend and was a person to whom you could always go for advice.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at 9 am from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Martha's Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery.
