State Police Monitor Kent Heights Polling Location

The Rhode Island Board of Elections confirmed voting irregularities this morning.

There were two incidents of polling place errors at the Kent Heights Elementary School voting precinct in East Providence earlier this morning, according to reports from East Bay Newspapers.

A pair of Republican-affiliated voters were provided with the wrong ballot by poll workers, reads the article.

Candidates could challenge the results due to the errors, said Rhode Island Board of Elections members. "Rhode Island State Police have been put on stand-by to respond to any further irregularities at the Kent Heights site or others in the city for the rest of the voting, which ends at 8 p.m.," reads the article.
