It’s New Year’s Day.

But you can still shop and find your favorite coffee and pastries in East Providence. Just about all retail stores are open. But not liquor stores.

Don’t expect to conduct any city business or mail a letter or pick up a book at the libraries, though.

East Providence City Hall is closed. So is Weaver library and the Riverside branch, the Senior Center, and the post office.

You don’t really have to look too hard to find a place to eat out, though.

All of the banks in East Providence are closed today as well. You can always access an ATM.
