January is always an interesting month to generate statistics for local home sales due to the influence of the weather.  Comparing one January to another does not really tell us much, especially if the numbers are close, but we can spot trends over the long run.

Unit sales and sale prices were down lightly from last year , though state-wide figures were up slightly. If anything, the long term trend would indicate that the market has hit bottom with a bounce in the number of unit sales as the weather gets better moving into the Spring.
