Beacon Hospice Volunteer Training
Beacon Hospice provides quality end-of-life care to local terminally-ill patients. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to spend time with our patients. Many patients have little to no visitors and really enjoy friendly visits from a volunteer. We are also looking for pet therapy volunteers, veterans, reiki certified or musicians.
We will be offering a training that begins on Tuesday, February 5, 2012 at 1pm and will run for 4 weeks. This is the East Providence location of Beacon Hospice, which provides hospice and end-of-life care to patients throughout the northeast. Its team of nurses and caregivers work to ensure that their terminally-ill patients are comfortable, and the group has special resources to handle cardiac conditions and dementia.
