Council Tuesday, Giving Tree, Watch for Sick Raccoons

City Council - The next EP City Council meeting is Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, in Council Chambers. Stay tuned for the agenda.

Giving Tree 
- To help make the holidays brighter for children in need, BankRI has partnered with 12 local non-profits to provide gifts for the less fortunate this holiday season. 

Gifts collected at the Bank's giving trees at East Providence branches at 999 S Broadway and 195 Taunton Ave. will benefit East Bay Community Action Program.

Beware Raccoons - 
EP Animal Control Officers have been responding to an unusually high number of reports about sick raccoons in recent weeks. If you see a raccoon acting sluggish, or strangely, don't approach the animal, and call the ACOs at (401) 435-7675.

Share your snapshots - As snowfall like Tuesday afternoon become more frequent, you'll probably find yourself with snapshots of snow men, angels or the shoveling/clearing chore added to your morning routine on the way to work. Christmas Party - 
The Metacomet Country Club is hosting a Christmas party for smaller businesses and groups Dec. 21, 6 to 11 p.m. at the club, 500 Veterans Memorial Parkway. Cost to attend is $39.99 plus tax. Call 401-438-1122, ext. 101 to make reservations.

Meat, Lobstah Raffle - The Comedy Connection hosts a Meat & Lobstah Raffle every Saturday thru April at their 39 Warren Ave. location. Call (401) 438-838. All proceeds benefit the Riverside Little League.
