Phone Tomes, Bring Out Yer' Trees...

Phone tomesEast Providence Public Library's Weaver Library is experiencing telephone difficulties. They're installing a new phone system and only have one line right now. If you are unable to get through to Weaver, call Riverside Branch at 433-4877.

Tree drop-off - 
The City of East Providence will accept Christmas trees at various locationsthroughout the city. They'll begin collecting them next week.

Councilors off till next year: 
The next City Council meeting is Jan. 7, 2014. Check here for a report from their last meeting Dec. 17, where they OK'd a tax stabilization plan and delayed a formal search for a permanent City Manager.

Holiday Rubbish Schedule - All holidays with the exception of (Presidents Day) will result in a one day delay in Rubbish, Recycling and Yard Waste (in season) collections for the remainder of the week. That means the schedule will be delayed one day staring Thursday.
