5 Things to Know About Today
Warm and humid; summer day camp continues; Rotary Club meets; food pantry open; workshop on 'nanos' at library.
Here are five things you should know about today, July 15, in and around East Providence:
1. Very warm and humid with a high near 89 degrees.
2. The East Providence Parks and Recreation Department summer day camp continues at 8:30 am at Pierce Field, 201 Mercer St., and runs all day; you can walk in and register with the proper form and a check for $50.

3. The East Providence/Seekonk Rotary Club meets every Monday at 12:15 pm at Chelo’s Restaurant, 911 Warren Ave., Seekonk.
4. The St. Francis Xavier food pantry, 81 North Carpenter St., is open from 9:20 to 11 am for families to visit once each month with a valid government ID card.

5. The RI Museum of Science and Art (RIMOSA) holds a Nano and Color workshop at Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., from 3 to 4 pm for children ages 10 and up; a nano is one billionth of a meter in size and the scale that’s used to measure atoms and molecules. Registration required, call 434-2453.
