East Providence's Jennifer Lee Wins Golden Globe for 'Frozen'

EP native accepted award with co-director Chris Buck

Disney's "Frozen" won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Sunday, accepted by co-directors Chris Buck and East Providence native Jennifer Lee.

Cartoonbrew.com has a photo of the two accepting the award yesterday. 

Lee, a Hollywood screen writer and director from East Providence, was recognized last year for her screen writing work on “Wreck It Ralph,” when she was nominated for an Oscar. The video game adventure opened to a record $49.1 million in sales.

Frozen, according to the LA Times, was the fourth-highest grossing movie of 2013 at about $318 million. According to Hollywoodreporter.com, Frozen opened with 15.2 million at the box office Nov. 27
