Flu Clinic Opens 'Pirate Week'

Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence offers free community events.

It’s “Pirate Week” at the Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence.

Several free community events are planned, according to Julie Fox, marking director.

A walk-in flu clinic will be held today, Oct. 22, from 2 to 4 pm at the facility located at One Evergreen Drive.  You need to provide proof of insurance.

On Wednesday, Oct. 24, the health center will show the movie: “Pirates of the Caribbean,” with free popcorn.

On Thursday, Oct. 25, there is a “Dead Man’s Chest” concert featuring singer Garyy Leauns.

Then on Saturday, Oct. 27, the week will end with a “Pirate’s Cove Halloween Bash” from 1 to 3:30 pm – rain or shine.

The party will feature horse-drawn hayrides, a balloon artist, a life DJ, games, prizes and more, said Fox.
