Heavy rain Monday night through Tuesday may cause flooding and impact the Tuesday morning commute throughout the state.

The National Weather Service is predicting at least 1 inch of rain to fall overnight and into Tuesday with some areas getting as much as 1 ½ inches.

Though the rainfall won’t match the totals we saw during last week’s rains, the National Weather Service said flooding is possible because many rivers are still running high. Street flooding is possible especially in areas with poor drainage.

High winds are expected with the rain. Gusts of about 30 mph are predicted, which means downed limbs and power lines are possible overnight and into Tuesday.

The entire state can sink for all I care. Maybe it will clean out the Dirtbags in the State House if the water rises high enough. Unfortunately I think they know how to swim as they eat enough Jumbo Shrimp and Calamari. Scott Guthrie looks like a Walrus so he should have no trouble swimming around that Cesspool.
