Coventry Teen Dedicates Holiday Display in Memory of Late Friend

Jake Albanesa, an 8th grader at Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School, tragically lost his good friend, 13-year-old Jacob Aversa to a heart attack. Several months later, he's decided to honor Jacob's memory by creating a holiday memorial at his family's 19 Larchmont Drive home in Coventry.

Fox Found in EG Tests Positive For Rabies

The state Department of Environmental Management announced Wednesday a dead gray fox found in a barn in the area of Frenchtown and Tillinghast roads had rabies. The animal was found in the same area a fox terrorized residents last month.

Man Seeks $50,000 from City After Private Info Posted to EP Website 

Kenneth Foley, the other person whose social security number and other personal information was posted on East Providence's website this summer, has filed a claim asking the city for 5 years credit monitoring and $50,000.

Flash Mob Serenades Teacher Facing Cancer Treatment

They gathered as dark and the mercury fell in Mount St. Charles' parking lots Thursday, then hundreds of students, teachers, friends and well-wishers marched down Mount St. Charles Avenue, cheering and playing music.
