E.P. Summer Concert Series Opens

East Providence Summer Concert Series kicks off in Rose Larisa Memorial Park overlooking upper Narragansett Bay.

If you let threatening weather keep you at home, you missed an outstanding opener to the East Providence Summer Concert Series Thursday night, June 27.

Gina Wesley and DreamCatcher performed in front of a sparse crowd in Rose Larisa Memorial Park in Riverside. But the concert series-goers who did attend heard some outstanding R&B, Motown and jazz tunes from a band that has always put on a great show in East Providence. See the video to see what you missed.

Five more free concerts are scheduled this summer -- weather permitting. All the concerts run from 6 to 7:30 pm in the bandshell. You need to bring your own chair or blanket.
