Folk Trio to Perform on Library Lawn

Atwater-Donnelly and Cathy Clasper-Torch team up together Wednesday on the Weaver Library lawn.

The high acclaimed folk duo, Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly, will play as a trio on Wednesday evening, July 10, on the Weaver Library lawn.

The duo will be joined by Cathy Clasper-Torch, who sings and plays the fiddle and cello. 

The performance will run from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

The trio will present a program of traditional American and Celtic folk songs, a capella pieces, old-time gospel music, dance tunes and original works.

Atwater and Donnelly, a husband-and-wife team, are known for blending unusual harmonies while playing guitar, Appalachian mountain dulcimer, mandolin, tin whistle, harmonica, banjo, bones, spoons, and limberjacks. Atwater also includes Appalachian clog dancing, Tap and French-Canadian footwork to their performances.
