'Ice Cream Social' to Welcome Riverside Middle School Sixth-Graders
Principals to host social and locker decorating event next Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Incoming sixth-grade students at Riverside Middle School in East Providence and their parents will start the new school year next week with an ice cream social and locker decorating evening.
The event will run on Tuesday, Sept. 3, from 6 to 8 pm. Principal Stephen Prew and Assistant Principal Gregory McCarthy will host the event.
The sixth-graders will be able to meet their teachers before opening day and decorate their lockers, which will be assigned to them that evening.

The opening day of school is Thursday, Sept. 5. All students must arrive by 7:50 am. All seventh- and eighth-grade students should report directly to their homerooms.
Sixth-graders and their parents will get another chance to meet the principals in the cafeteria at 8 am with the PTA serving refreshments.

Any student with a question about their homeroom should go to the main office. Listed will be posted in the office.
