Kids Go Back to School in E.P.

The East Providence schools open their doors for the new year.

There were lots of smiles and a few anxious young faces when the East Providence schools opened their doors this morning, Sept. 5, for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Pupils and scores of parents at Kent Heights Elementary school, for instance, were greeted by the principal, Fatima Avila; the staff and the PTA when they reached the front doors or the playground at the rear of the school.

The parents were allowed to stick aground with their children, lined up outside the school, until the kids were escorted inside to their classrooms.
