BAY VIEW ACADEMY JUNIOR SELECTED TO SERVE ON CONGRESSMAN DAVID CICILLINE’S CONGRESSIONAL YOUTH CABINET

East Providence, RI –  Bay View Academy junior, Betzabel Vazquez (Providence, RI), was recently appointed to Congressman David Cicilline’s 2014 Congressional Youth Cabinet. This is the second year Cicilline has brought together his Youth Cabinet in order to hear firsthand accounts from young people of how federal legislation impacts them. The group will meet four times over the course of the year, the first of which occurred on February 1st.

This appointment to the Youth Cabinet comes on the heels of Betzabel’s Model Legislature win of a leadership position (Senate Committee Chair) for Rhode Island’s Model Legislature, which is coming up in March.
