Customers Flock to Save Sparky's
Local business gets outpouring of support after word spreads that the business is in trouble.
Sparky's in East Providence is a local landmark and has been serving wieners for almost 100 years.
Word that the business was in trouble has spurred an outpouring of support from loyal customers and on Saturday, they came in droves as part of a "cash mob" to infuse the business with some much needed financial and community support.
Owner George Watts said the support has been amazing.
"It's great," he said. "People are great."
