Providence Place Cheeseboy to Host Fourth Annual Free Grilled Cheese Day on April 25

As part of its National Grilled Cheese Month celebration, Cheeseboy – America’s first multi-unit grilled cheese restaurant brand – will host its fourth annual Free Grilled Cheese Day on Friday, April 25. Grilled cheese lovers are invited to visit participating Cheeseboy locations between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to receive a free Cheeseboy “Classic” – made with creamy farm co-op American cheese and all-natural artisan white bread. No purchase will be necessary to receive the free sandwich.

“Free Grilled Cheese Day is one of our favorite days of the year as it gives us an opportunity to thank our loyal guests and welcome newcomers to experience Cheeseboy on us,” said Michael Inwald, Cheeseboy’s President and Founder. “Cheeseboy is committed to comfort, and a major part of that commitment is providing an unforgettable experience every time someone walks through our doors, especially on Free Grilled Cheese Day when we serve thousands of sandwiches to our supportive fans and first-time guests.”

From past experience, Cheeseboy believes that Free Grilled Cheese Day could draw a substantial crowd this year. According to Cheeseboy’s recent American Grilled Cheese Survey℠, grilled cheese sandwich consumption in the U.S. is strong, with 86 percent of U.S. adults having eaten at least one grilled cheese sandwich* in the past year. Additionally, within the 86 percent of Americans who ate grilled cheese sandwiches in the past year, 30 percent did so at least once a month.

*For the purposes of the survey, a grilled cheese sandwich was defined as “any bread-based melted cheese sandwich with or without additional ingredients.”
