Does The Mayan Calendar Actually Signal Our Rebirth?

Perhaps the Mayan calendar signals our rebirth as a civilization - not our demise, and we are given the chance to write our own history. Oh how I hope so...

Maybe The Mayan’s Were Right, And We Just Misinterpreted The Meaning

According to the Mayan calendar – the world as we know it will cease to exist December 21, 2012 – and maybe that’s not a bad idea given what modern civilization has become.

Perhaps the Mayan’s had the foresight to know the people of 2012 (all 7+ billion of us from every point of the globe) will be in dire need for a drastic cultural realignment, and that such a change could not possibly be marked as simply evolutionary – its significance could only be that of a rebirth.

The date could actually be an indicator of a civilization at the crossroads.  Having such insight, maybe they were at such a loss for words of that was prophesied, that they intended for us to write the rest of our own history…

For too many years, our choices have been of intolerance, greed, corruption, malice, and war.  And in recent years our culture has spoiled the mind with such atrocities through video games, movies, the media, politics and partisanship.

So instead of looking upon our proclaimed last-of-days as darkness, maybe we should shine light upon December 21 and celebrate it; as the day that the world came together and embraced tolerancelove, and peace.

Change won’t happen by chance – but if we all make the right choices – right now – our new beginning could be just hours away.

Newtown CT therefore would be eternalized not for making angles of children and their protectors – but for being the catalyst that changed the world.

And isn’t that how we would rather remember them…
