The East Providence lunch referral chapter by SBR Network meets at Davenport’s restaurant on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 11:45 am; business owners and professionals can make new face-to-face contacts.

The East Bay Toastmasters Club meets on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 5:30 pm at 30 Alexander Ave.; it’s open to anyone who wants to improve their oral communications and leadership skills.

East Providence Parks & Recreation, 100 Bullock’s Point Ave., hosts a Children’s Night Out on Friday, Nov. 16; drop off your kids from 6 to 9 pm and enjoy a night out while they take part in a host of fun and games.

Waddington Elementary School, 101 Legion Way, Riverside, hosts its fourth annual Crafts Fair just in time for the holidays on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 am to 3 pm.

The East Providence Animal Control Center on Commercial Way holds an Adopt-A-Thon on Saturday, Nov. 17, starting at 10 am. Donations of blankets, towels, cat and dog cushions, stainless steel water bowls and buckets, food bowls, toys for all animals, and treats for dogs and cats will be accepted.
