5 Things to Know About Today

Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:

  1. Mostly sunny with a high temperature near 66 and a possibility of showers moving in tonight.
  2. A baking class is scheduled for today at 3:30 pm during the "Home Ec at the Rec" program at the East Providence Recreation Center, 100 Bullocks Point Ave. in Riverside.
  3. The East Providence/Seekonk Rotary Club meets every Monday at 12:15 pm at the Eleven Forty Nine East Restaurant, 965 Fall River Ave., Seekonk.
  4. Martha Collins will discuss Vietnamese literature and read some of her translations of Vietnamese poems from The Beauty of Humanity Movement by Camilla Gibb at a 7 pm program in Weaver Library, 41 Grove Ave., that supports 2013 Reading Across Rhode Island.
  5. An informational meeting for volunteers sought by the K-Rob Foundation for the third annual "Ride With K-ROB Family Fun Festival” in June starts tonight at 6:30 at A Little Red Schoolhouse Child Care Center, 20 Sprague Ave., Riverside.
