5 Things to Know About Today

Windy weather; Teen Thursday at library; landlord and tenants rights talk in Riverside; stretch class; line dancing lessons.

Here are five things you should know about today in East Providence:

  1. Today will be very windy with rain in the morning and a mix of sun and clouds in the afternoon. High temperatures in the 50s will fall into the low 40s. Expect gusts of 40 mph.
  2. Every Thursday after school is “Teen Thursday” at Weaver Library; there are laptops, music, Wii, games, and crafts from 3 to 5 pm.
  3. The Riverside banch library hosts a free landlord and tenants rights presentation by attorney Stephen Miller at 6:30 pm. He will answer frequently asked questions about issues such as evictions, security deposit disputes, repairs and lead paint.
  4. The East Providence Recreation Center, 100 Bullocks Point Ave., offers a stretch class from 5 to 6 pm. Fee is $5 per class. Register at 401-433-6360.
  5. The East Providence Recreation Center also offers line dancing for beginners from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. To register, call the Recreation Center at 433-6360.
