Set aside your electronic devices for a while on June 8 and come on out to the third annual K-Rob Foundation Family Fun Festival at Crescent Park.
Kevin Robinson, the East Providence native who became a BMX legend, made that pitch at last Tuesday's City Council meeting when he announced the date of this year's festival.
As in the past, Robinson said, there will be demonstrations, live music, rock climbing, and plenty of vendors. It will open at 9 m with ride and walk from Pierce Field to the Looff Carousel in the park.
The festival will run from approximately 11 am to 5 pm.
The K-Rob Foundation was established by Robinson as a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of deserving children in the East Providence community by helping to get them involved in athletics.
