More Severe Thunderstorms Are Likely This Afternoon

The National Weather Service says to expect strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

Severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into the early evening hours, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

According to the NWS, the storms could bring damaging wind gusts and large hail. Isolated tornados are also possible, says the NWS.

The greatest threat of damage will be throughout Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.

However, severe weather is expected for the entire region from 4 p.m. through midnight.

The NWS says residents should "keep an eye to the sky" and move indoors if threatening weather approaches.
