Patch Editors Give Back to Rhode Islanders With Day of Community Service

Patch editors from across Rhode Island collaborated on a community service project in Providence on Monday morning.

Local Editor William Rupp takes a ride down the orange slide at a Providence park, Peace and Plenty in the Elmwood neighborhood of south Providence, after checking park equipment for missing hardware.

Serve Rhode Island, a Providence-based organization that connects volunteers with community service opportunities assisted in coordinating the service project. Eight volunteers from Patch's Rhode Island editorial team turned out to pick up trash, paint fences and weed out mulch beds.
