Thursday: Chess Club, Chocolate Fest

Here are five things you should know today in East Providence.

  1. The National Weather Service says today will be mostly cloudy through mid- morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 49.
  2. Kindergarten registration continues in the East Providence Schools.
  3. Chess Club meets at the branch of the library this afternoon from 3:45 to 4:45 pm. Ages 6-18 are invited to learn to play chess or improve their skills; call 433-4877 to register.
  4. Whole Foods on Waterman Street in Providence offers a Chocolate Fest tonight starting at 5 pm.
  5. This month the Red Bridge Neighborhood Associaiton is working on a community service project to help nearby communities and neighbors keep the homeless and those in need warm by collecting donated, new, and slightly used blankets. You can drop your donations off any day by the front door of the Trinity Tabernacle Church, 745 North Broadway, or contact someone to arrange drop off or pick up, through the RBNA Facebook page.
