Tuesday: School Committee Meets; Weaver Book Clubs
Here are five things you should know today in East Providence.
- Yesterday's sunny weather was short-lived. Today there's a chance of showers with a high of 61 degrees.
- The East Providence School Committee meets tonight at 6:30 pm. Here's what's on the agenda for the evening.
- The Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening book groups at Weaver meet today, to discuss Jamie Ford's Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. New members are always welcome.
- Kevin Robinson and the K-Rob Foundation are looking for student volunteers to help with the Second Annual "Ride with K-ROB Family Fun Festival on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Carousel in Riverside. High School students can earn community service hours and should contact Mr Messier or Ms. Medina.
- The Senior Center has a social worker available through the East Bay Center twice a month, to answer questions and help with social service needs. Did you know we have a new social worker through East Bay Center? Michael Friend, LICSW, is available today and also May 22, from 9 am to noon. Call for an appointment: 435-7870.
