Chowder & Clamcakes Fundraiser

The Friends of the Pomham Rocks Lighthouse will hold a
Chowder and Clam Cakes fundraiser with a silent auction and raffle at Pazi’s
Place, 380 Taunton Avenue, East Providence on Sunday, September 8 from 2:00 to
5:00 p.m.  Listen to music from the
50s and 60s and enjoy chowder and clam cakes for $6.99. Other menu items will
also be available. The rain date for the event is Sunday, September 15.

The Pomham Rocks boat and an 8-foot-high lighthouse with window cut outs will be on display in the parking lot and available for photos. Friends will also have a table of membership information and lighthouse merchandise.

The silent auction will feature tickets to the Newport Playhouse & Cabaret Restaurant, The Gamm Theatre, ferry tickets to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard, a $100 gift card to Fleming’s Steakhouse and a Nantucket handbag from Barlow Designs. Raffle items include gift cards to local restaurants and Flex tickets to the Providence Bruins.

Thanks to the owner’s of Pazi’s Place, Dan and Pam Liete, proceeds from the event will assist the local group in carrying out their mission of restoration and preservation of this important New England maritime light station and East Providence landmark.
